I offer training, fitness classes and recovery services, both online and in-person. All of my workouts are designed to meet your specific needs, and recovery services are offered after each session. About me
Oh hi, I’m Dana, and I’m your instructor; just a girl who lives in Brooklyn with her guy and two fluffy cats. I have been teaching fitness for a long time, and I also really like animals a lot (especially cats). If you prefer reading bios in the third-person, please read on…
Dana Leigh Snyder is a national fitness instructor and stretch therapist. She holds a certificate in Exercise Physiology from Stanford University (extension), a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell (extension), a BA in dance from UC Davis, an MFA from the New School, and is trained in Active Isolated Stretch. Dana has been teaching in NYC since 2008.
Originally from Sacramento, Dana studied under dancer and fitness pro Pepper Von (National Aerobic Fitness Champion), Lea Anderson (artistic director of The Cholmondeleys and The Featherstonehaughs), and Bobbi Wynn Bolden (professor of Dance, UC Davis). She has her own children’s modern dance and physical theatre program called URBAN WILDLIFE ARTS; is an instructor and current Director of Drama at Salvatore Larussa Dance Theatre Academy; and is a teaching artist at both Village Community School and Columbia Grammar School.
