
About DLS Fitness
DLS Fitness is a series of athletic training methods created by Dana Leigh Snyder (NYC). Her four-part conditioning series utilizes plyometric, isometric, aerobic, and anaerobic exercises along with focused dance and stretch techniques designed to strengthen the whole body while gaining flexibility, fluid motion, and a sense of play. Parts One, Two, and Three incorporate high-intensity interval training, full-body strength and center work, and stretch and mobility classes to condition the body (. ). Part Four: “Animal Movement Work” uses specialized, choreographed exercises inspired by the strength and versatility of animal movements. Her exercises are a unique crossover between fitness and modern dance techniques, focusing on body-awareness to create personalized boundaries and unique, individualized movement.
Classes are offered both in-person and virtually through the Zoom app.

High-intensity interval training:
A series High-Intensity workouts with exercises designed to optimize one’s speed, jump height, agility, lateral leap, rhythm, coordination, and overall range of motion. This final part called “Animal Movement” refers to an evolution of motion from isolated (. ), to (. ). About DLS
Dana Leigh Snyder is a New York City-based fitness professional and dance instructor. She has been teaching in New York City since 2008, and previously studied under Pepper Von: A Sacramento (. ).
Beginning with Jazzercise in 1985, Dana’s dance career has always been a unique crossover of dance and fitness. Dana (studios types of dance, landed in modern, received degree in Dance). In 2004 she moved to NYC to get her Masters Degree, and in 2008, she Dana entered and her professional fitness career at David Barton Gym, and has since worked at New York City’s top gyms. Her career has spanned nearly two decades.
Dana's main areas of interest are (. ). variety of movement rooted in both dance and fitness techniques modern-dance techniques, plyometric exercises, plant-based nutrition, and stretch. She holds a degree Dance and certifications in (. ). Dana's approach to coaching is rooted in body-awareness educating and empowering them with knowledge that cuts thorough much of the dogma that surrounds the fitness industry. She is the founder of Urban Wildlife Arts, a (. ).
